I create one-off willow sculptures for gardens, landscapes, public spaces, visitor attractions, events and private clients.

Each sculpture is individually designed and handwoven, using the natural qualities of willow to create texture, movement, form and character.

Animal & Wildlife Willow Sculpture

Bespoke willow animal sculptures can bring character and a strong sense of place to gardens, visitor attractions, environmental projects and public spaces.

I can create sculptures based on specific animals, wildlife or themes, working from photographs, drawings or an initial design brief.

Recent work includes a bespoke beaver sculpture created as part of a wildlife and environmental installation for the Amelia Trust.

Large-Scale Willow Sculpture

Large willow sculpture can create a strong focal point within a garden, landscape, park or public space.

For larger commissions, I consider the scale and proportions of the piece alongside structural requirements, wind exposure, fixing, access, transportation and installation.

Where appropriate, structural frameworks can be incorporated beneath the willow to provide additional support.

Traditional Handweaving, Contemporary Design

Traditional willow weaving provides the foundation for my work, but each sculpture is developed as an individual piece of contemporary design.

Different weave styles and willow materials can be used to create different textures, levels of openness and visual effects.

For larger pieces, thicker willow sticks or structural frameworks can be used to establish the form before the final weaving is created.
